We have always been strong as a community in Ireland by being united and ready to help each other. Sudanese Doctors worked hard to settle the internship issue while others are still struggling to get theirs recognised. The Dublin house (14 Cherryfield and 6 Rockfield) was founded way before most of us were thinking of doing medicine in college, thanks to everyone who tried hard organising fundraising and even paying without informing other people.
Now we are conducting a Database Project for our union. It's simple, we need to know how many of us are out there, where and what specialties are they practicing in. It's a vital and an important step in the development of a union or an organisation. Without this, it is very difficult to plan the projects and to be up to our members expectations.
Be assured that this doesn't mean you will be paying money to run the activities if you don't want to and it doesn't mean you will receive correspondences if you opt out. It basically keeps every one involved in what is happening and makes it easy for the union's executive committee to reach out for the members when they are looking for help in planning and executing members' centred activities. It's also important to mention that information will not be passed on to a third party and will merely be used for the union related activities.
The project is being coordinated by myself and representatives from the hospitals will kindly fill in a sheet with information about doctors' speciality, grade, phone number and email address. The data will be updated regularly to reflect the rotations and the move from site to site and on the professional scale with time. There's a online form using surveymonkey for the colleagues who are not in a hospital setting or prefer to submit their details directly to the project coordinators.
We are looking for volunteers to represent the rest of Irish hospitals, thanks to Ahmed Alamin - Roscommon, Amr Elfadul - Connolly, Alfrazdaq Hassan - Temple St, Khalid Altom - Galway UCHG and Bons, Mohammed Abdelkarim - Navan, Mayad Shamboul & Assad Zain - Waterford, Waleed Mirghani - Tallaght, Mohammed Jamal - James's, Waleed Alnadheef & Tarig Ali - Letterkenny, Mohamed Taha - Beaumont, Musab Elhadi - Limerick and Ahmed Nasr - Mayo General, who have volunteered to help. Kindly, email/text me your contact details if interested and I will email you the form.
Thanking you in advance for your anticipated help.
